Position: Community and Events Manager
Location: Seattle, Washington (In-person strongly preferred; open to remote for the right candidate)
Travel: Candidate will attend and host our famous networking dinners in major US and international cities

Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Community and Events Manager to oversee and nurture our exclusive community of SDR Leaders. The ideal candidate will have a background in SDR leadership and be adept at engaging with both community members and partners. You will manage the premier network and resource for the SDR Leader profession. This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage community operations, organize and host events, create compelling content, and maintain the highest standards of community quality.


Key Responsibilities

Community Management

  • Develop strategies to grow community membership while maintaining quality.
  • Moderate the community to ensure a high-quality experience for all members.
  • Manage membership applications and onboarding of new members.
  • Foster engagement within the community through discussions, polls, and interactive content.

Event Planning and Execution

  • Organize, coordinate, and host in-person networking dinners and virtual events.
  • Handle all event logistics, including venue selection, invitations, and attendee follow-ups.
  • Ensure events run smoothly and provide value to attendees and sponsors.
  • Travel to major cities in the U.S. and internationally to host events and grow our global community.

Content Creation and Management

  • Lead the development and management of the community podcast.
  • Manage and create content for social media accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality materials for events and promotions.

Qualifications

Experience

  • SDR leadership experience.
  • Background as a top 10% outbound SDR.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles such as Account Executive or Partnerships Manager is a plus.
  • Background in content creation or event planning is advantageous.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Public speaking skills and ability to facilitate discussions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable leading discussions both virtually and in-person.
  • Proficiency with virtual event platforms and content management tools is a plus.

Additional Information

  • Reporting Structure: You will report directly to the Founder, Sam Nelson, and collaborate with the events team.
  • Travel: Approximately 35% travel is expected for hosting dinners and attending events in major cities across the U.S. and internationally to host events and grow our global community.
  • Location Flexibility: In-person is strongly preferred in Seattle, Washington. Potentially open to a remote worker for the right person.
